In a world where even a fetus without a brain must be carried to term, navigating loss comes with an additional challenge: confronting a system designed to regulate every stage of pregnancy.
As it turns out her pregnancy was developing without an embryo, she is trapped in a biological paradox: grieving a life that never even started. She is in the midst of medical treatment, enduring physical agony and a plummeting hormonal state, when a nurse arrives with a grotesque demand: she must provide a name and a burial plan for a baby that never existed.
