BLIGHT is not only an important true story that is destined to be made into a film; it’s also a gripping plot, a captivating main character, and countless real-life scenes with incredible visual potential and emotional impact.
There is no production company or budget behind this project, but we have a talented and experienced crew ready to work, and we are looking for modest funding to make it a short (~60 minutes) feature film, shooting in winter 2026/2027.
The fundraising will fully take off once we have a script draft and a ready treatment. However, if there is any way you can help, please contact us as soon as you can. This is an important story that needs telling and will require a small fraction of a typical feature film budget.
Can’t help with fundraising? Our biggest production challenge will be to find a hospital where we can shoot this film. Since the story happened in Poland, we would like to shoot it in a Polish hospital. However, since our crew is based in Berlin, we are also ready to explore local options that we can transform with the help of set design.
